A new industrial landscape is emerging between China and Europe. China's industrial rise, America's reindustrialization push and Europe's competitiveness challenges together shape the framework in which Hungarian manufacturers, suppliers and engineers must hold their ground.
The talk focuses on the industrial situation between China and Europe: Chinese production capacities, technological advances and European responses. Special emphasis is placed on what this global realignment means at home: order structures for manufacturers, supply chains, industrial investment – and the future of engineering work and in-demand skills.
Questions we will address:
- Has Europe really fallen behind in the global industrial race?
- What structural reasons lie behind these processes?
- What room for manoeuvre remains for the region – including Hungary – in the coming years?
- Which skills and roles will become valuable for engineers?
