The Engineers’ Freelance Community (Mérnök Szabadúszók Közössége, MSZK) started from a simple observation: many highly skilled Hungarian engineers were working alone, missing the network, business support, and visibility that traditional employment or consulting firms provide.

The founders

Hollmann Lilian, Kolozsy Balázs, and Máté Attila brought together different perspectives: engineering project management, business development, and community building. They shared a belief that the future of engineering work is not full-time jobs but project-based collaborations.

From meetup to movement

What began as a small professional meetup in 2025 grew through word of mouth, LinkedIn, and events. Workshops, mastermind groups, and social dinners helped members build trust and learn from each other. Today the community has more than 200 members across environmental, civil, mechanical, energy, logistics, and digital transformation fields.

Why Engineer Portfolio was born

Engineer Portfolio is the service layer of the community. It helps companies find the right engineer for a specific task, and helps engineers turn their experience into visible, trusted profiles. The goal is not to replace headhunters or agencies, but to offer a more personal, transparent, and field-specific matching service.
